She’s bold. She’s brilliant. Most importantly, she’s back! Danielle Ate The Sandwich returns to the Lagoon stage for the final performance of the 2016 season and what will likely be one of the best concerts yet!

For those who have yet to proclaim themselves a “Fanwich”, here’s a brief introduction: An alum from CSU, Danielle Anderson’s music career started right here in Fort Collins. It was at local open-mic nights where she began showcasing her powerful songwriting skills and ukulele prowess.

She then began uploading simple videos on YouTube featuring her unique originals and masterful covers while demonstrating her trademark off-the-wall humor. Nearly a decade later, Danielle has:

    • Traveled all over the world with her trusty ukuleles in hand
    • Wrote music for the Emmy-nominated documentary “Packed in a Trunk: The Lost Art of Edith Lake Wilkinson”
    • Obtained more than 40,000 YouTube subscribers and almost 8 million views on her videos
    • Over 14,000 Facebook likes
    • Independently produced five albums
    • Wrote over 50 original knock-knock jokes…(Mild language so viewer discretion advised)

More than 2,000 people will come out and watch her perform on Aug. 3 and it’s so easy to see why. Throughout all her continuous successes, Danielle remains as humble and lively as the town where she first began performing. She has a rare ability to connect with her audiences and perform in a way that is deeply moving.

You might cry, you’ll probably laugh, but if one thing is for certain, Danielle Ate The Sandwich will leave you bewildered by the inimitable talents of Ms. Anderson and her band. Did we save the best for last? We’ll let you decide.

She has a new album coming in September, and something tells us we might get a few sneak peeks on Wednesday! Danielle has just wrapped up a three week West Coast tour, playing everywhere from Portland to San Francisco, and we are so excited to give her a proper homecoming as our final concert for the summer.

The aspiring young musicians of Cache La Poudre Elementary School will have the pleasure of warming up the stage for Danielle on Aug. 3. The free event begins at 6 p.m., and concertgoers will also have the opportunity to enjoy Pizza Casbah, The Goodness Truck, Gunter’s Bavarian Grill, A-Maize’n Kettle Corn and The Human Bean Coffee Truck.
