The 24th Annual Lagoon Summer Concert Series is gearing up for another season of great music, delicious eats from local food trucks, and fun and games from our sponsors! We have a fantastic lineup in store for the 2017 season, and we couldn’t be more excited to welcome Danielle Ate the Sandwich as the first artist to take the Lagoon stage on Wednesday, June 14.
Danielle Ate the Sandwich is a seasoned Lagoon veteran, who has wowed audiences near and far, young and old, sandwich-eaters and sandwich-haters. A CSU alumna, Danielle’s popularity began humbly at open mic nights around Fort Collins and exploded thanks to her personality-infused YouTube channel. Her unique personality, thoughtful lyrics and ukulele talent stole the hearts of “fanwiches” in Colorado and beyond.
Throughout the past seven years, this singer-songwriter has won praises of critics from all around the world. She has been recognized by UKE Magazine (UK), KAMUKE (Australia), Denver Westword and countless others.
One of her most recent works is writing the Emmy-nominated soundtrack to the Emmy-nominated HBO documentary film, “Packed in a Trunk: The Lost Art of Edith Lake Wilkinson.” Other notable career highlights include sharing the stage with artists such as Pomplamoose, Leo Kottke and Mumford & Sons.
Little Kid Rock Band performer, Julia Kirkwood, will have the pleasure of opening for Danielle Ate the Sandwich. Concert goers may also enjoy cuisine from various local food trucks: Wing Shack, The Taco Stop, Pizza Casbah, A-Maize’n Kettle Corn and The Human Bean Coffee Truck.
The Lagoon Summer Concert Series is produced by Mantooth Marketing with thanks to the generous support of Title Sponsors Colorado State University and Kaiser Permanente.
