Who’s ready for Lagoon round two? Our second concert of the summer will be none other than Lagoon favorite and Fort Collins native Danielle Ate the Sandwich! Also known as Danielle Anderson, she sings original indie folk songs about people while playing a ukulele or guitar.
Starting out as a student at CSU playing at open mic nights, Danielle grew more popular across the country thanks to her vibrant personality displayed on her YouTube channel. She has now been touring nationally since 2009 and has earned thousands of “fanwiches.” Her career continues to grow, and she just recently recorded the Emmy-nominated soundtrack of the HBO documentary film, Packed in a Trunk: The Lost Art of Edith Lake Wilkinson.
Danielle’s most recent album “The Terrible Dinner Guest” is her sixth self-produced album. Her thoughtful and somewhat heavy lyrics have put her as the opening act of artists such as Mumford and Sons and Suzanne Vega.
Back again from last week’s concert is The Human Bean food truck, and joining this crowd favorite is The Rollin’ Stone Wood Fired Pizzeria, Austin Taco, The Goodness Truck, and A-Maize’n Kettle Corn. So grab some snacks and get ready for what’s sure to be another incredible show from Danielle Ate the Sandwich!
