The Jakarta Band Kicks Off the 2019 Lagoon Series
Hey Lagoon fans, welcome back! We’re starting the series off on the right foot with a Fort Collins favorite: The Jakarta Band! This energetic band is known to bring crowds to their feet and onto the dance floor for an evening of boogieing!
This Denver based R&B/Funk/Soul/Disco/Hip-Hop band has performed all over the world, from weddings to Inaugural Balls in Washington, DC. Band manager Isaac Points has been performing for the last 35 years, opening for Stanley Clark and playing bass with Tony Bennett. Over the years his skill and knowledge of funk music has only improved. He’s explored numerous styles and gained experience working in Denver’s local clubs since the age of 17. Today, the large band makes music with the bass, sax, trumpet, keyboard, trombone, and more!
Opening for The Jakarta Band is a wonderful member of the Little Kids Rock group: Talia Lima. Join us right at 6 p.m. to watch a quick get-to-know-the-band game and hear our Little Kids Rock performer!
Come hungry because there will be a great lineup of food trucks to kick off the concert series including The Taco Stop, Bigs Meat Wagon, The Goodness Truck, The Human Bean Coffee Truck, and Repicci’s Italian Ice & Gelato.
Don’t miss this fantastic start to the series, Lagoon fans! Fun is sure to be had by all. We can’t wait to see you there!
